I just can't find any jobs that I like and I am tired of looking. I thought that if I received some grants, I could relax for about a year or two.

There are grants but what you speak of is at best unethical if not out right illegal. Which means you are making a joke.
I do know of some scams if you are a MD or PhD. I met a nurse several years ago, she had done this in NY, then CO and in CA when I met her. She would go to a very rich demographic area such as parts of Long Island, Boulder and Marin County. Then she would start a group over the concern of environmental influencers such as radiation or pesticides and their influence on the incidence of breast cancer, no doubt a serious disease. She would get members, remember rich demographics who had at last annual mammographies, coorelate this data with the world and come up with the extremely high incidence. It really wasn't any higher it was just that they all tested more often than the backgroudn so they were finding it earlier and some that would nto be diagnosed for a long time. The end result is she would pick a target, say golf courses or waste disposal sites and then would more or less blackmail them into supporting her research into the "high incidence" of breast cancer. It worked well for her, made a lot of money but of course eventually she would have to move on. She tried to squeeze me and I said no way, that I knew her past and what she was doing. I often wonder today if she ever went to jail for that or if she is just somewhere else pulling the same old scam.
Hey, why not get a job that pays well, put up with the crap until you can work yourself into something better. That is what I did, it took a long time but I made it to something great, and I never had to do anything unethical or illegal.
As the man said, there is no free lunch friend, you will pay for it eventually.
