so many people say they hate the a,c.l,u, ? if so then why don't you become a member and help to vote out the communist leadership that has dominated them since their take over, you don't need to be a attorney to belong to them check the sept, issue of the american legion magizine or call the american legion in your area, for more info, I am joining and need help ,

Just prosecute them under the RICO statues and be done with them (if that doesn't work charge them with treason,aiding and abetting the the enemy, and execute them)

The ACLU is nothing I am against, However I do oppose the taking of rights from one person to satisfy the demands of another which seems to be the ACLU's battlecry for the last 20 years. As far as joining, I will pass. I don't want to belong to a group that would allow what has happened with them to happen. Better to just make a new civil liberty club and make it's viewpoints fair to all.

I belong to the Americn Legion and the V.F.W.
and I want nothing to with ******* who interfere
with justice as they do. One person can't do anything! The Congress and the Supreme Court
need to take control of things and pass new laws, even if it takes a new Constitutional ammendment.

If legislation were passed that would prevent them from collecting money for legal fees from the federal or state governments it would solve the problem much quicker.

Anyone who thinks they are about rights, you are wrong, they are about getting rich. Do you know most attorneys volunteer, no pay, so where does all the money go?

the ACLU are an essential organization - and you should be thankful for their existence, despite your obvious contempt for it.

The U.S. Constitution is unchanging - it is the framework on which this country is founded...it is its structure. It is - in essence - the rule book.

Unfortunately - many so-called "patriots" (usually those who wrap themselves up in the flag & scream "I'm proud to be an American!!!" the loudest - actually hate certain parts of the Constitution & want to inconveniently pick & choose those parts they like, and those parts they don't (sort of like a lot of so-called "Christians" who try to earn a lot of points by saying they're "Christian", but, in fact, only pick & choose those parts of the religion most convenient to them).

The ACLU's agenda isn't a liberal one, and it isn't a conservative one - it's agenda, in fact, isn't towards any humans at all.

It's agenda is about the preservation of the rule book....the organization is there to make sure that the Constitution is being applied........the Constitution cannot just be brushed aside - "oh - well - that part really isn't that important, especially in this day & age, because...blah-blah-blah...".

NO! The Constitution - all of it - applies ALL of the time & to ALL Americans.....even if certain parts seem controversial at a specific moment in history.

You - and all Americans - should be thankful that there is an organization that's a pitbull watchdog when it comes to Civil Liberties....because without such an organization....the whole structure eventually collapses.

I think very highly of the ACLU and I appreciate that they take on cases that are socially unpopular. Of course, they will not always win the cases they take on. . .but could you just imagine the society that we would live in if these cases did not make it to a court of law??
