Well, there are 2 that come to mind . . .

Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis in "Some Like It Hot". Not only are they the ugliest, brawniest women, but knowing Jack Lemmon based his portrayal on his own mother is hysterical. Sometime, just watch the scene when they first become women . . . their inability to walk in pumps and the pursed lips are to die for.

John Lithgow as Roberta Muldoon in "The World According To Garp" was fantastic! His portrayal of an ex-football player post sex-change was not over the top and was sad, sweet and funny. It was John's break out movie and paved the way for other actors to take riskier roles (plus, he got an Oscar nod for it).

"Too Wong Foo Thank for Everything Julie Newmar" starred Patrick Swayze, John Leguizmo, and Wesley Snipes all in drag. Three hot guys and a cute story to boot.

I'd go with Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie... I mean, he nailed that part. He looks like a million in that red dress!
