You mean Stonehenge, right? It was begun by Neolithic people ("New stone age"), using gigantic rocks from Ireland! They probably used many of the same methods that were used to build the Egyptian pyramids and cities like the ones in ancient Peru. Lots of wheels, pullyes and rolling logs and incredible manpower. No magic, just some crazed notion of wanting a gigantic calendar!!! go figure...

The BBC produced a documentary based on a contemporary effort to duplicate the process of cutting and dragging huge stones. I read the book based on it, but can't remember the title. Anyway, the team used only the tools the ancients would have had, and made thick ropes from thousands of strands of tree bark, just as the ancients did, and proved that with lots of workers and lots of time, it could be done with no magic or supernatural involved.
You could probably look it up on Google - try BBC stonehenge.

It's spelled Stonehenge, and archaeologists believe it was built around 3500 BC (long before there were any druids). Archaeologists are, in fact, wrong about this. It was built by an obscure tribe of garden gnomes last Wednesday. They took photos, and went backwards in their magical gnomic time machine to insert them into all the history books.

I am not sure but it is certainly fascinating all the things our ancestors have accomplished in this world. I am certain though that Stonehenge probably had a lot to do with the practices of the Druids but there are many, many different ideas out there about it. Go check out these sites and you decide for yourself. Have fun!

I think stonehenge was created by a bloke called Sid.
One day Sid woke up and thought to himself, you know what? I'm fed up with my kids Stan and Hencg, making camps in there bedroom.
So one day he went down to Stonebase, and bought all the monoliths they had. He grabbed his kids and said, "once you've finished your homework, I want you to go get some fresh air".
He sent them out into the garden, and said "your not coming back in till you build a camp out there".
Once the kids returned (2000 years later), they said "Dad we have built our camp". Sid went out into the garden and see the amazing sight before him.
He was so impressed with what his children had built, he felt he had to prasie his God, for the talent his children had.
So he sacrificed them to the God, E.T.
This is how Stonhenge was built. If anyone can prove otherwise, i'm willing to listen to the ramblings of a nutter.

Stonehenge, maybe?
No one really knows. How were the pyramids built? Probably the same way.

I don't know, but according to the logic of many here on Yahoo Answers, anything that we can't prove exactly how it was made, must have been made by god.
