Are you aware of the details of our "agreements" with North Korea?
Do you know how they got the nuclear technology?
Have they been good citizens up to today?
Given an intimate knowledge of past negotiations and agreements, what would you do about this declared nuclear test?

It appears to me we have been talking at the negotiation table for about 20 years and it appears to have been all hot air, all talk, feel good rhetoric and no action.

Continue talking to the last, but if the test goes thru, the UN needs to get a spine and take action. Key to that would be cooperation from China and Russia.

I say the leader is paranoid and he thinks U.S.A. and the world is going to attack North Korea! The only people that can talk him out of the nuclear stuff, are the psychologist and psychiatrist, and the people of North Korea.

North Korea for the most part has been a good neighbor, only up to the point where they have been isolationists. Don't confuse their government with their citizens, however. I think they should be allowed to go on with their nuclear testing, only so that it can be monitored for how effective it is.

Yes by all means! We should send Jimny Carter to snuggle up to that tin horn dictator! Maybe he can have us give Kim Jong Il ALL our nuclear secrets and save him the time and trouble!

Yes, that is the only way to solve the problem. They have something which they cannot use without repercussions. If we don't want them to use it we must continue talking. Same with Iran.

Actual Reality 'above' has a good point when she said, "Don't confuse their government with their citizens."

Would all of america like to be judged by Bush's words and actions. This is the guy that said:

Sometimes when I sleep at night I think of (Dr. Seuss's) 'Hop on Pop.'
