how do get spots off stainless steel forks, knifes & spoons?

clean them by hand basicaly like every other dish.

You Do Not Need Bleach!!! Or any other chemicals! Waste of your hard earned money, and bad for the environment.

Really, you can keep your stainless steel items really nice just by using an ordinary green plastic scourer. Just give them a good rub over and they will be fine.

Works for aluminium things too.

Soak in a chlorine based detergent, (approximately half an hour) then while wearing rubber gloves remove and rub each piece with a course cloth.
Rub backwards and forwards only don't use a circulare motion as it will leave fine scratch marks

Olive oil removes streaks
Vinegar cleans and polishes(use damp cloth and undiluted vinegar)

use warm water and bleach, let soak. if there are any spots still on the silverware then use a scrubber or dish rag..
