I don't remember if there is a word for love in the swahili language, which is the main language spoken in Kenya. But "mimi na penda wewe" means I like you. Hope this helps.

"Nakupenda" means I love you in Swahili. You didn't say which Kenyan language - it could have been a tribal language like Kikuyu or Luo, but Swahili is the lingua franca of all Kenyans

I don't know. I don't even know what dialect they speak in Kenya.
But Ndimakukonda is I love you in Chichewa.
I think it's very sweet to be able to tell someone you love them in their mother tongue!
