Unplug fridge and thaw out fridge and freezer. Dilute bleach, white vinegar, and Pine Sol or Mr Clean, into a bucket of water. Take all the food out of the fridge, all the shelves, and scrub everything down. You should throw away all the food that was in the fridge even though it may have been sealed, bacteria breeds in the fridge when it's 40F or higher and can get into anything. When you have everything clean, put it back together and use an open box of baking soda and the open bowl of coffee.

Take all your food out(easier if you have an extra fridge to put it in) Put a small dish of amonia in there and leave sit for half an hour. This stuff eats up odor like crazy but you have to wash your fridge out really really good when you put your food back in there so you don't end up contaminating your food. I did this in my dishwasher and once my house stunk and I didn't know what it was so I put a small saucer of this stuff on the table and the odor was gone very soon.

You would have to throw EVERYTHING out that you had in your fridge. Wash down the insides with part bleach and part water. After you're done with that, place a couple of those baking soda boxes in your fridge and let it circulate for about a day. You would be good to go from there.

I would use white vinegar and soapy water. Then I would sprinkle a couple of boxes of baking soda. I know that vanilla extract (get the clear kind) can also get rid of the odor. You wil need to wipe down the surfaces of the fridge.

2 years ago while I was on vacation and I had forgot to pay the bill for electricity. I had 20Ks of frozen meat in the fridge and when I returned the smell was so bad you can't even imagine. What I have done and has partially worked was that for 2 months I kept it empty with just a pack of coffee in it.

Take everything out and wash it down with an
anti-bacterial cleaner. (Mr. Clean, etc.) Always keep an open box of baking soda in the fridge.
