Y do ppl do (illegal)DRUGS?

what is the point????? WHY????????

why would a person want to waste their life doin drugs it'll take everything u have away(i watched it happen with one of my uncles)and don't even say it releves them or yourself,if ur on drugs, from all our problems b/c u and i KNOW that it only makes it worst when it's all done and over with!!!!

The only reason drugs are illegal in this country is because the government wants you to buy their prescription drugs that are made in America. After all, the best coke, weed, and heroin come from South America and the Middle East.

Drugs have been used for centuries as a way of healing and anointing. Even Jesus used marijuana. Christ comes from the Greek "Christos" which means "anointed one." In Exodus there is a recipe for anointing oil which calls for nine pounds of marijuana.
In Britain, heroin is given to cancer victims so they aren't in pain.
Honestly, manufactured drugs are a lot worse than drugs that grow from the ground. The reason there is so much negative connotation to drugs is because of violence that comes with them, but there wouldn't be any violence if they were legal.

I also find it very interesting how many people who have never done drugs are answering this question citing "stupidity" and "mindlessness." Perhaps it is the opposite. How do you know drugs are bad? Because people tell you so. Aren't you more of a mindless sheep for accepting that answer instead of finding out for yourself?

For many reasons: There is No one particular reason people do drugs; some people do them and never get hooked, others do them and get addicted.
Many drug users get high as a way to escape their problems or as a means to deal with an unpleasant reality.
Sometimes a person who is depressed may start using drugs because it makes them feel better .. which can lead to addiction quickly, because they want to purge themselves of all emotional pain.
Drug use is common among people with some mental illnesses such as (bi-polar) or people with personality issues. They feel the need to self medicate in order to save themselves from whatever it is that's haunting their mind, making them feel insecure, antisocial, restless/irritable, guilty, angry, depressed and the list goes on...
Others get into drugs because of peer pressure, their friends are doing it and they want to fit it - look cool. There is Nothing Cool about being a Drug addict by the way.

or they try by getting attention which is a cry out for help for what ever reason then it turns into addiction,or they do it to be kool

Because it is illegal. They like to break the rules. They are rebels. Fighting for the fact that they will do as they please regardless of what any judge, lawyer, or president says. Just the thrill in itself.
