Yep, but as has been mentioned, it takes some skill and know how.
If it is your own network you are worried about, make sure it is encrypted, and turn off the wireless router when you are away from home, asleep, etc.
If you are trying to do this yourself, then you are on your own to discover how. ;)
By the way, it IS illegal.

Yes.
There is software freely available on the web to hack into encrypted wireless networks. With the right software it would take literally seconds to hack into a WEP encrypted network. WPA is harder to crack, and WPA2 harder again.
Thats why you should always use ALL of the possible options open to you - like turning off SSID broadcast, turning on MAC filtering and using the highest encryption level your systems support.
All are breakable, but the more obstacles you put up the less likely you are to get hacked.

I know of a way and from Linux to attach a wireless environment, the brute force the wpa password.
As a previous poster mentions, the are some clever people out there that would know how to go about this. The technique was demonstrated to me and I was amaze how easy it could be, I say could, because you need a large brute dictionary and time.

It is but if you're asking this on yahoo answers then you probably don't have the know-how to do it yet. It is complicated and like a lot of people are saying you need time and effort. And yes they will be able to see that you've logged on - maybe start running then?
Anyways stop being so cheap broadband costs like nowt these days just buy your own or use the library!

i think there is some smart people out there who could probably do a lot of things...but i know it would not be legal...you may be able to have the computer cleaned and then put what you want in it and change passwords and all and you may have the use of the computer then....i know sometimes you just have to start to type your id or password and it will open up the mail and all...i delete the cookies, password and history every so often myself...

Yes. Never assume that a computer that uses any sort of outside communication connection is protected.

Not to easy to do, especially dependant on the level of security installed, and even if you do.. they may have log files turned on.. so they'll see that you connected.
