I think what they wear to worship , is their own business ; but , in a time where terrorism is a way of life for Muslim extremists , and innocent people all over the world are being attacked - then it's unfortunate that the innocent Muslims may have to sacrifice veils in the name of safety . Head-scarves do not compromise safety , so I don't see why they are an issue . When it comes to refusing to put an unveiled photo on your drivers license or passport-it does present problems .

My opinion is before you talk about the Muslims and what they wear on their heads you should learn to spell it correctly....Veils.

My next opinion is they should wear whatever they want on their heads and whoever has a problem with it should get a life.

My attitude towards it is hostility and disgust. I feel like saying to these women what the hell are you hiding from, what is your problem...but I know that wouldn't really help.
I'm afraid that some young muslims have decided to spite the rest of society by asserting their faith in an extreme way in reaction to British foreign policy.
Political correctness and multiculturalism teaches us that we shouldn't care about what people wear but frankly the non-muslim majority do have values of their own and some of the people in that majority feel like asserting them too. I'm one of them. I'm a proud secularist who believes that the muslim veil represents oppression and is culturally unacceptable. I realise that a lot of people don't believe that I have a culture but I happen to think I do.

Of course they should be allowed to wear veils and headscarfs. I see nothing wrong with them staying true to their religion.
My muslim female friends wear their veils and it doesn't bother me one bit.
i'm catholic, and it'd be like someone telling me I can't wear a crucifix around my neck. I wear it anyway
take care.

When the world moving towards freedom of most of things, why can't muslim woman choose their own freedom of wearing veil and scarf.

When we say freedom, it could be shocking to most of us here that wearing a scarf is their freedom of expressing their piousness.

Just because we have not experienced and understand other world's culture and environment doesn't make it wrong and weird to practise. It was just not common before and we have not seen before.

I think its more of accepting each other for who we are and not of what we wear.

If we can accept all sort of languages in our land, I dont think a piece of veil is a big hindrance of communication.

I think it's their desicion to wear it and in that case I think we all can respect each other's culture and most important of them all to respect their desicion.

Modesty is recommendable in all religions, including Christianity. Jesus never ordained women to dress up-and act-like whores.

It's not a question for you or us to decide. It's called freedom of religion.
Stop trying to stir up trouble and prejudice.

May your days be truly joyful.

YES

its their right and freedom and by taking that right away you are doing an injustice to them and to society

wearing a veil frees woman from western pressure and values - veiled woman are not pressued by sociiety to look a certain way and it gives woman thier dignity back

LET THE VEILS STAY
