When my sister was in middle school one of her friends parents won the lottery. They needed it too. The husband had been layed off from work, the Mom was only working part time and their house was about to get foreclosed and then they won! They sold their house bought a bigger one with a pool. I know that the Mother still buys things that are only on sale. She can't seem to shake the poverty state of mind.

yes (won 14 million about 8 years ago) they have moved to a nice house and given up job as bus driver but not changed them in a bad way. Also set up a Foundation for handling begging letters and making donations to charities etc.

My school friend Jamie. He got 6 numbers a few years ago, there were about another 7 winners and he got about £350,000. He runs a buisiness providing stretch limos now and is doing well.

friend of my husbands won but has done nothing and moans about the stress!! saying that they still do the lottery!!!!!

i dont. not even one. and i've never won anything and neither has anyone i know. i was beginnig to think no one ever did but going by these replies some people actually do. interesting.

yes in my old work in a period of about 8 months 4 people won the jackpot.........and all we got was a tin of quality street....tight fisted or what!!!! lol
