my best friend has been copying me ALOT lately.im not sure if im stupid for getting all worked up about it. like i started dressing in all hollister. my friend starts getting all the same stuff im getting. like not just the fact that she started buyinghollister like me after i started, she gets the SAME EXACT THINGS. like the same shirt maybe only in a differnt color, if that. then we go school bag shopping at the end of summer. in the beginning of summer i get a bag with the hollister bird on it and carried it with me all summer, planned to use it in school. she goes n gets the SAME ONE. in school weretogether all the time. it would look retarded walkign around with the same bag. i told her and she gets it anyway. i get uggs. now she wants uggs after saying she thought they were ugly. i cut my hair short. she wants her hair short now. i find a new band i love, she starts listenin to them and adopts them as her fav band. she says she hates ipods. i get a nano. she gets one.

This girl obviously looks up to you and admires you and instead of being flattered you are getting annoyed which is understandable..have a word with her and tell her that you are flattered that she likes your style but she should be getting her own identity and not copying yours or someone elses.

Well, sure it's annoying -- but...
1) she could be feeling very insecure, and because she's fond of you, she thinks highly of you, so she thinks you're cool - and being more like you would make her feel more cool, and less insecure, so she copies you...
2)... or getting the same stuff you wear, etc. makes her feel closer to you... or...
Here's the thing - there could be several reasons why she's doing this, but the good news is, it doesn't last forever. She's your friend, right? So part of friendship is kind of waiting out these weird phases we all go through.
Another part is putting up with each others' quirks. If she developed an all-consuming passion for, say, green stuff - dyed her hair, wore green, had a green notebook, ate salads three times a day - you'd laugh it off and figure it wouldn't last forever, right? Same thing here.
Okay, but in the meantime, while you're waiting it out, before you go nuts? How about personalizing your stuff, some of it, anyway? Get some fabric paint and brushes and head to a thrift store. Find a denim jacket or something that you can decorate (buy it at a thrift store and it'll be cheap enough to experiment with). Even if she finds a jacket and paints it, no way it's going to be identical to yours. Tie dye a shirt - they never turn out identical. Do some shopping for unusual accessories at thrift stores, antique clothing stores, etc. No way she can have the same touches, since there's only the one you bought.
And wait it out. It'll be over eventually. Good luck!

wow! thats kinda creepy! just let ur friend know how u feel. or u could just let her copy u. its not 2 bad when they get some of the same clothes as u, but when they do every thing like u, then thats when u should tell them that u like them 4 who they r more than when they act like u. dont over react, or sooner or l8er u might not b friends ne more.

Maybe you should talk to your friend. I've seen it before between two of my friends also. Just ask her, "I thought you hated this?" or something.
And I don't think it's a crazy thing to get worked up about. Imitation is a form of flattery but you gotta know when to draw the line.

Next time you sees her you do something or make her feel like doing something very stupid and lets see that she does it or not or try to think some of her weakness and try to trick her. That is the only way you can teach her a lesson.

You 2 sound a little compulsive about each other. You being mad and her for coping you
True Friends Do similar things, that's one reason their friends. I have been there and I know its annoying but eventually you each will find your own personality with what you wear and what you like and dislike.

awwww. you shouldn't be angry with her. she just wants to be cool like you are, maybe when you go shopping together next time, pick out *different* stuff for her to try on and tell her she looks so hot in it and she should totally get it.... that way she'll have different stuff. you can throw in ideas like "I would totally get this for myself, but it doesn't flatter my eye color, it would be super-bangin on you though!" This girl obviously values your cultural/fashion opinions, so give them out. Yes, she *should* be able to make these decisions for herself, but its probably just a thing she'll grow out of it, help her make decisions on her own.
