Sounds like you need the help of a geek, and I'm your geek!
Yes you can do all of the above. You're going to need a few things.
1. A copy of nero burning ROM
2. limeWire
I can send you nero if you want.
Anyway, fire up limewire, and choose a song you want to download. You can get it on iTunes but you won't be able to burn it on to a CD. So use limewire to download the song you want and it will download to a folder of your choice.
Next, use NERO to burn an audio CD. All you do is run nero express, drag the music file you want on the CD to where it tells you and press BURN!
And that's it, really easy to do once you know how! By the way thanks for the thanks :)

yes you can download music with out cound. But make sure that, when you burn the downloaded music, is in the right format for the cd and cd player to read.
I have burn music on a cd and tried playing it on a cd player and it didn't work.

there are a few sites with free music, but most of the suggested places/software are P2P sharing.
That means, in plain English, STEALING.
When did that become OK? Don't do it.
