to go to a party where everyone is dressed really formal and wear your jeans and a T-shirt or to go to a party with a very formal outfit and find out that every one else is dressed casually?

I agree, overdressing is worse!! Makes me miserable, can't be comfortable like everyone else.

I'd be fine going casual cuz I've done that before. But over dressing would be worse if you ask me.
