They say to wait on citrus till a year. But if you have no family allergies, I'd wait till your little one can eat these as finger foods and serve them as finger foods. Then he/she is a bit older (unless he/she is on finger foods already). Also, the acid may be too much for the tummy. You might want to start with a tiny bit of diluted orange juice for a few days first.

No, it isnt good to do that yet, your baby is too young. Heck, half the pediatricians tell mothers THEY shouldnt be drinking orange juice while breastfeeding as that can cause problems. Citric fruits are supposed to be introduced at 12 mths, not earlier than that. My husband keeps trying to sneek oranges to our 11 mth old daughter and I have to remind him all the time to hold his horses. Jeez, the time flys by so fast, why rush things and risk the chance of causing serious problems with your baby's health?

It's probably a little early for citrus. The high acid content can give the baby a nasty diaper rash. My little guy is 14 months and still can't eat it.

Maybe a little too young. If you already did it, don't sweat it. just don't do alot more. It has alot of acid, and may give him an upset tummy, diarrhea, or even sores in his mouth.

I've heard the acidity in citrus fruits is bad for the baby, and they can develop alergies to it.

I think that you should avoid citrus fruits as they may upset your little one's tummy.

They might be a little bit acidic, but if your child takes them well, it is ok.
