my computer is a little slow and i wanted to make if faster but i don't know how except by erasing the files,is there any other way

get some more RAM memory for it, i recommend at least 256 MBs RAM, but dont buy too much, cuz it also depends on how much your computer can support, umm im not sure, but i think it depends on your motherboard about how much memory u can get for it. get Windows XP if you dont have it by now, get this little tool called ATF cleaner, go to yahoo and search for it, and use it to delete the files u talking about, u know, temporary files and such, this tool makes it a lil bit faster, also, defragment your computer, go to start, all programs, accesories, system tools, and disk defragmenter. run it once a week to ensure youll always have speed. and make sure u have a good antivirus, dont use norton, it uses a lot of RAM memory, therefore making your computer go MUCH more slower than witout it, instead, used this antivirus called AVG Free Edition, get it from download.com, its a good antivirus, and it uses less RAM......

how long has it been since you've done general maintenance? Defragging sometimes works.
