Stats show women will seek help in medical and emotional issues sooner than men. Men's issue is ego/pride. Society over generations has indicated men should be able to solve problems on their own. Thus, going for help is a sign of weakness, a perception that continues with some men.

Because they're men!

Seriously though, not all men are, and if I'm honest, I'd prefer a man like that, than one who is constantly relying on me for help and assistance.

It's probably due to their upbringing anyway. Mum's of boy's, have a habit of molly coddling them, praising them constantly and making them grow up thinking they are God! Mum's of girl's tend to just let the girl's get on with things, because it's more expected for it to be in a girl's nature, but a boy needs "help". So, when the boy reaches adulthood, he thinks he can fly...so why would he accept any help from anyone else, because he is "the man". The whole mummy's boy thing has alot to answer for! Men who think they're God's gift to women, and who go around cheating, are boys who were always "mummy's gorgeous boy", so they grow up with the attitude that no one is ever good enough for them.

Perhaps there is something wrong with the way that your phrase things .....like offering up an explanation as to what you are talking about! Like, ya no, help for ******* what?

How do you know it's 'pride'?

How do you know it's not just resistance to your interference?

How do you know that there is a 'problem' that requires your interference / aid / assistance?

How can someone possibly answer your question when you provide nothing by way of a reference point - or two - or three or more?

I think your just out there looking to make up the points, kiddo.

Sash.

Men feel they need to be on top. For a long time they were in charge. But now that women have come into more power, they feel more threatened. So naturally, they have to show off, to gain pride. It's just how they are. Don't let it bug you. If you meet a very egotistical guy, you can act as a buffer. Don't let him give you bullshit.

alfa male, pride is one of the biggest parts of somones personalty, even woman. being a man we find that showing a tough approch to things easyer than trying to understand them but when we fail we we dont want to show a waekness, so we hype up the notion that we were right along. its the same with women but they show it in more suttle ways, make-up is one. its being shown that men tend to 'shell' themselfs in pride while woman 'core' inside.

Yep we are kind of like that. We won't accept help from a woman we care too much about.
