Because they know that most people are uncomfortable being naked in front of people, so they leave the room so you can feel comfortable and at ease.

It's because alot of people have a problem with undressing infront of other people and it's not concidered professional. When they see you naked during observation it is within the limits of their profession

So you can maintain a little dignity we are all different so health care professionals assume that a liitle privacy to undress is required

taking your clothes off is an intimate act. It's not nice to remove clothes with someone watching.
