How do I hook my speaker and earphones to my PC so I can hear the other end when chatting?

Need to know which prong, red, green or black is intserted on my PC in order to make a successful chat via Skype

Generally speaking, there is a little raised icon on the earphone and mic jacks indicating which it is, and there is also the same icon by the input slots. So, connect the mic to the mic and the headphones to the headphones icon. On those that are colour coded (not all are), the pink/red is mic and the green is headphones. I have some where the mic is pink and headphones black.

If you can't find icons on the computer or jacks, and they aren't colour coded ... then use the "sample call" on skype to play around with it until you locate the right ones.
