Most men are careless self involved ******* and no it is not uncommon. I live with my fiance and When I come home from work I will do dishes and cook - and he just sits in front of the television and watches sports and ignores me! Men are so involved in themselves. Women are more caring and nurturing, and aware of the life going on around them. I guess it is just something that some of us will have to learn to accept. Just do your own thing...make yourself happy. Maybe one day we will realize we are much happier without them.

You are describing most married women's lives, and if we complain about it we end up labeled as "nagging bitches". I can get mine to do stuff, but he often either forgets or procastinates and I end up frustrated, so I just do it to begin with anyway. It is the same way with my sister and my cousin, so I think that's standard for most of us. Sometimes I give him a list and call him every few hrs and that helps. But he pays the house payment, and I love him, and I probably do stuff that drives him crazy too,so I just deal w/ it.

I truly believe it is all too common. Mine is pretty much the same way. Maybe a load of laundry every now and then but no major efforts on his part.

I did everything in my relationship - then my ex turned it around on me and said that I did not meet all his needs. He gave me that as a reason for him having an affair. If you are okay with it and your husband appreciates you for it then you do not have a problem.
If he is taking advantage of you then you have a problem.
