It would make the World Cup a touch one-sided! I know what you're getting at, but it wouldn't work. Bear in mind that at one point the world was not divided into countries, so what did we do? That's right, we divided it into countries. It's our nature to be this way. the only way there could not be any countries is when we have Utopia - but the human race has got a long way to go before it reaches that level. A very long way.

If you mean, would we be better off without "borders". . .well, for most of human history, there were no borders. Remember nation-states are a relatively new invention--a long time before that, people wandered through out the earth. It's a tough question, really. . .nation states came into being because "groups" that lived in certain areas became afraid of "outsiders"--they were searching for stability, and people who move in and out do not create a stable community. Personally, I think that borders are somewhat useful in our present-day world, I just think that immigration laws need to be more humane and welcoming.

Damnably superb question!

I'm a Briton, and of course, we rule the world, with the acquiesence of George Bush. We do his dirty laundry in the same way that the Chinese did for us. Of course, these were the days when we had an Empire, and we could make all these foreign wallahs do our bidding.

You cannot do without countries. We would have no-one to fight!

Never has been or will be w/o them, so its an imginary idealistic question.
All Things Considered, October 6, 2005 · A record-setting 464 illegal immigrants have died this year trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. Cities along the border pay high costs, storing bodies and conducting autopsies before they can be either buried or shipped back to Mexico or Central America.
many illegals are vicious crimnals.

Without bad governments maybe. I think in the future if we don't kill ourselves off, humans will form a single world government. Sadly after seeing how the UN turned out it is gonna be such a corrupt piece of crap chaos will soon follow.

NO would you be alright or better with out your own room? Same domain situation. It is the human instinct to control our culture, language, and land. It has always been a show of finacial, and cultural gain if you have land. Even the cave man had his domain.

it is written that the world will remain divided and that there will never be peace on earth...i guess the only thing left to do is keep the faith and trust that God will take care of you...pray to Him and keep telling Him how much you love Him...God bless...
