Yes, we owe it to the future generations, and we have a morale and social obligation to preserve the planet. If not, we are slowly killing ourselves along with our home.

The problem is too many people on this planet. Why should we compromise our life styles because governments refuse to address this real problem.

Governments are happy to increase the working population as this increases tax revenue and enables the pension pyramid to be notched up further.

Controllers of retail organisations want high populations as more people means more sales and profit.

Only the combination of birth control, massive welfare and aid cuts and the acceptance of a higher retirement age will address the problems of pollution, environment degradation and deteriorating lifestyle.

What we really need to do is stop cows farting (the methane is killing the ozone layer more than cars) and ban these stupid little scooter that the chavs ride around on all frigging day, they pollute the atmosphere more than cars as well, plus life would be a bit quieter as well.

Recycling is not the answer to save the planet though the government would have us believe, trust me, they only want more of your money cos they have buggered up their finances.

I think we already do to some extent. It is frustrating when you go thru the trouble to sort your trash and they put it all in the same dump anyway so doesn't it have to be more than just me. It is the tragedy of the Commons. We need that in reverse. But I think the world has bigger problems right now.

Of course, it should go without saying, and it astounds me that people even have to consider this.
I guess we like to make our problems SOMEONE ELSE'S problems.
