I've read where W's grandfather was busted for loaning money to the Nazi's but can't find out what penalty the U.S. government bestowed upon him. Was it hidden like Bush's AWOL from the National Guard?

The US government did business with Germany until 1940. Until then the State Department had arranged for US companies to be exempt from the wave of nationalizatoin that was sweeping threough Germany. Most US banks and corporation, as well as the US governemnt did business with Nazi Germany since it was still rebuilding from WWI and was Europes fastest growing economy and the rest of Europe was reluctant to invest there.

There was no Punishment for Prescott Bush because he was acting within US law. The FDR government maintained ties with Hitler's Germany until Demeber 11, 1941.

He would have been like a lot of American companies before America entered the war. Hell everyone either was or wanted to be doing business with Germany. Just like all of them I don't believe it meant Bush somehow supported what became the Nazi war and hate machine.

Support for Hitler was very common in the American business community in the 30's. Hitlers views of Social Darwinism (social success of the fittest) was widely heralded in America.

I'm not supporting any of this just trying to point out that Americans are not immune to stupidity or immorality.

Nope, that drooling problem that's bothering you is a symptom of your Republican mouth breathing habits.

Well for one, you're an idiot. Second Bush was not AWOL and that has been definatively proven. When those loans were made, the USA was not at war with the Nazi so what is your point. The liberal pig Ted Kennedy had a dad who made his entire fortune as a mobster/rum runner and murderer. Should me make Ted pay the price for the Dad's crimes.

You must be a devout Christian...otherwise I must assume that "the sins of the fathers" crap is just political rhetoric. Were you concerned that Al Gore's Dad was a big segregationist? Were you concerned that JFK's Dad, Joe Kennedy, was for appeasement with Nazi Germany AND a known anti-Semite? The point is, judge the man, not his ancestry. Otherwise, I suspect most of us...if we looked hard enough...would find something we would be shamed about in our family history.
