There could be many reasons for great artists to suddenly disappear such as a tragedy in the band/family/friends or the band members don't get along, too much drugs/ drinking, they want to pursue something different, someone wants a solo career, too much stress, or they only wanted to do one album/ song, the list goes on and on.
