I have two friends like that.
One had a bad experience around town one night so doesnt like to get in any situations like that again, or even have a group girly drink at home. on a one to one basis she is fine!
The other is a bloke. He still lives with his parents and works in their shop, he has loads of money but never wants to stand on his own two feet? His girfriend is going crazy!
Maybe your friend has had an experience that has put him off, or maybe he is just happy being a bum.
Try going out and telling him how fantasic it was and how much you wish he was their.
Some people are beyond help!

No one - he is lucky to have a friend like you, who want better thing for him.
No two - do what ever you can to break his silly habit and Im sure he will be thank full for snapping him out of it. that’s what friends do. Some pple not need to be left alone.
I cant say do this do that, b/c you know your friend better. But he needs it & make the call.
still try to take him out - insist on it. other wise there will be time to pour that cold water.

It is nice that you are showing such concern for your friend. We all like to make our friends happy, but what we need to make us happy is not what would make them happy. Your friend seems OK in his little world.
Maybe he doesn't like going out at night, so why not think of something to suggest doing during the day. Maybe go shopping for DVDs, or a walk, even a day out somewhere, if he won't, then he won't you can't make him.!!!!!!!!!

I would leave him alone unless he starts to show signs of depression, there are lots of people that enjoy there own company, if you keep on about going out, he might just get fed up and ask you not to come round organising his life when he's happy as he is.

Their is nothing wrong with what he is doing, if he is happy, that is all you should be concerned about. Why would you want to break a habit that is not bothering any one! Be glad that he is content in his own way!

He is happy how he is, so don't force him. However, you can come round and talk to your friends about what a great time you had etc. to make him want to go with you.
Right, now I have helped you, can you help me?

if he's happy with what he's doing then dont force him into anything....i do think that he should leave home though, he's a bit old to be strung to his mummy's pinny....just leave him, he may like his lifestyle just the way it is

if he is truly happy then just leave him to it. no point in trying to push him into something he doesnt want.

Yeah, it's his loss if he chooses to waste his life away. Leave him be!
