If your weed-eater has a few seasons of use, check out or dump any remaining fuel from last season.
Look for any "kinks" in the fuel supply line.
Remove old spark-plug, clean or obtain new one of same specification, blow out engine cylinder head through spark plug hole with compressed air.
Replace spark-plug, preferably with a new one.
Add fresh gas/oil mix fuel.
Too much oil in gas often fouls spark-plug and or makes the engine really stubborn to start.
Check to make sure "on-off" switch is on, push the "primer" bulb 3 to 4 times, set choke, give it a couple of good pulls on the starter rope.
You should hear it "pop" or try to start.
If after doing all the above, and it still won't pop or start, it may need new "coil/magneto"?

If that is the case, your weed-eater will need to go to the shop, unless someone you know can replace these kind of parts.
Hope this helps, Dave

Assuming your fuel mixture is fresh and everything used to work, find the
choke lever, choke it, and pull the rope a few times. If it starts, back off on the
choke and let it idle for a minute and then go weedeatin'

I think different makes/models start different ways. I have an Echo and I have to flip a switch then maybe prime it then pull the cord.
