I have a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router and I'd like to get some wireless adapters for some other computers in my house. Can I just pick up any brand of wireless adapter, say Netgear, or D-Link, or do I have to get the Linksys brand for the best compatibility?

No, there's no need to buy the same brand at all. They are all built on the same specs and should be fully compatible and run at complete speeds. Obviously if the hardware is substandard or has crappy drivers it won't perform great, but this isn't because the brands don't match up.

Just make sure the technology is the same or compatible. For example, Linksys has their own flavor of Xtreme speed 802.11g that runs at 108mbps instead of 54, but this only works if you have 2 linksys products that are compatible. I'd recommend staying away from this stuff anyway - it's proprietary and locks you in to a certain brand. Just buy the general equipment Wireless G and you're fine with any brand.

you want a on the spot router or modem, that's the only way for the xbox to %. up a sign. in case you have that the xbox has a putting in community settings to seek for a on the spot community. If it famous one you would be asked for the protection code required to connect with a on the spot internet gateway. generally a WEP selection

yes, make sure you get the same. also, if you happen to ever eat at mcdonalds, make sure you don't switch to burger king, your body will be incompatible.
