Not yet! He can still physically play and he still loves the game. He has alot to offer his young back-ups and is teaching them the game. When he does decide to hang up his cleats, he will be a Packer. He has even said he can not see himself playing for another team. I have never seen a QB who loves the game this much. For many years, he renegotiated his contract (took less money) to bring in other players. All for the love of the game. Favre teaches that, not just to his team mates, but to the rest of us as well. Only he will know when it is time.

Brett Favre is the greatest of all time. His numbers will equal Marino's and he's got a ring to go with it.
I want to see him succeed, but I just don't think he's in the right situation to succeed there. However, any coach in the NFL would start Favre over Rodgers, so I think as long as he's there, he's the best player to start. I mean, even at his age, he's still better than over half the other starting QB's in the NFL.
As a long time Green Bay fan, I want to see him get traded to a team that he can succeed on. Unfortunately, there aren't many contenders out there in need of a Quarterback.
He should definately retire at the end of this season, though, or he's going to end up getting seriously hurt. The hit he took in the Philly game didn't really even look that hard. I mean, I know he's taken much harder hits than that before and kept playing.

the in elementary words way he is going to the bench is that if he's injured and can't play. the in elementary words opposite direction he would not play is that if he receives bored to death and retires in the course of the middle of the season. No coach on earth might want to bench Favre for Tavaris Jackson. except a 5 interest stint in 08, he has never had any style of consistency or a good twelve months.

I think Brett still could mentally play the game, but physically he just isn't the same as he was four or five years ago. With Green Bays terrible offensive line, poor recieving corps, and lackluster running game, there is way too much pressure on this guy. He clearly will be one of the best of all time and I think it is time for him to step aside and let the team rebuild.

I thought he should had left last season.. but who wants to go on a bad note? No one. He should go before he gets hurt so bad he cant come back.. I think He would have been more effective as a offensive cor. or a As. coach.. But not on the field dont get me wrong one of the best.. But its time to go.. He will retire but when is the real question?

i think it depends on how this season turns out. i think he would want to leave on a good note, not a bad team. If his team is a playoff contender or gets into the playoffs, i think he is done. If his team suffers like last year, i think he will be back for another season.

He is never going to retire if he is waiting for a good team. They MIGHT have a good team when he stops worrying about himself and thinks about the team.

no. He will be like Jerry Rice and eventually have to be booted out of the league. It is sad to watch.
