If you're left-handed, start on the right and go "clocwise"
If you're right-handed, start on the left moving "counter-clockwise"
If you have a fancy belt buckle, and put it on the "left-handed" way in this right-handed world, it'll likely be upside-down.

all i know is what they taught us in boot camp and that is start going through the left side loops on around and buckle from right to left
