Because it's the only social web page provider that lets users create a totally messed up page, with overlapping images and hard-to-read text, then lets other users leave comments about how cool it all looks. This while some music you probably don't like is playing. Who could ask for anything more?

You do not have to constantly be on MySpace for it to be great...you can get it on your cell phone. You go outside instead of asking stupid questions on Yahoo!

To give a proper answer- It's a place where friends can stay in touch when they aren't near each other, that's what makes it so successful. It's also a cunning marketing tool- all of your interests and music tastes all in one place, and somewhere for bands to get noticed, and adverts that loads of people see. That's why Rupert Murdoch bought it.

I don't know. I used to love it because of the layouts or you could design your own and you get to choose music to put on your page and staying in touch with friends. You can also IM. I am going to quit though cause it is not that fun anymore. I also feel like it is getting less and less unsafe every day.

It is the fact that similar to this site you are able to get an instant response. You can also see who is online so you know when you should contact people and it gives you a space to post your thoughts, images, videos and music.

Well, even though I don't use it, two of my sons do...and they love it. Keeping in touch with far-away friends and family and making new friends. They are, however, limited in the time they use the computer and get a lot done in there allotted times.

I don't think it is great...it may even turn out to be a fad with young users turning their backs on it once they realise that it's just not cool at all.
