Yes, I broke my neck 25 years ago in a car accident. I understand that I was close to death on the roadside but I dont remember seeing or hearing anything like people say you do (loved ones, bright lights or anything). Also I didnt see my life flash before my eyes during the crash although when I think back to the accident I remember the car leaving the road/hitting the tree etc. but everything is in slow motion.

I've never been so badly injured or ill that I was close to dying, but I've had near death experiences in the form of a couple of inches/seconds separating me from accidents that would have killed me.

Yes, I felt like my brain was just going to give up function. I fell backwards and I was scared.
I found myself wondering if I had been good enough for Heaven and if I had accomplished what I was supposed to. I didn't die, so I must not be done here yet. But it was scarier than I thought it would be, because I believe in God, and thereby Heaven, I don't fear death. But I do fear my judgement, but I believe He knows who is His sheep. BAAAH!
