for me it's just annoying! I am a receptionist, and it is my job to give eye contact and say hello to people when they come in. Some people refuse to look and just keep going right past and ignore my friendly greeting! I always wonder if they are always that rude, or just lost in thought?
For others who walk in and look like they've lost their best friend, a simple hello seems to really brighten their day! Those are the people I choose to focus on.
If it's a co-worker who walks in and ignores me - I just say there name until they turn around and then I smile and wave at them. I won't let them ignore me. :)

Yes... there's this girl that hates me for no good reason (I'm a good girl at school and don't talk about anybody because it's mean) and she freaking ignores me until she says something stupid about me... She comes by to take up my paper, talks to the girl in front of me while I hold my paper out and she looks at me with hate and I sit there, wondering, "WTF?" Then, a minute later, she takes it.
I sound like a whiny b*tch but hell...

Yes, no one likes to be ignored, but it doesn't matter if it's in your face or over the internet or the phone, it's not nice to be ignored.

it's a power stroke to ignore people. It was instumental in the columbine shootings.
It's very damaging to ignore people, and the ones who practice this act are bad people.
