I guess because it is hot out. Some do it just to show off im sure .I wear a shirt and always have. I go shirtless at the beach but that is about it

I used to get made fun of alot in high school because I was constantly going without my shirt in spring, summer, and early fall seasons. Whenever I played frisby, or hacky sack or any outside activity... or inside really too... I just liked being without my shirt.
I wasn/t ripped or anything, I wasn't SHOWING off as many people misconstrued it, I was simply more comfortable in the heat. I tend to sweat alot also and without the shirt it doesn't seep through it to saturation. Then when I am done, I drank a bottle of water... sat in the shade for a moment... put on my shirt again and everthing was groovy... same when I rode my bike everywhere.
One time I was on a freeway overpass on my bike, without a shirt and someboyd honked their horn and scared me LOL.. they yelled out the window "put a f u cki ng shirt on... I though this to be quite rude.. I was not overweight at all and was simply minding my own business, and it was quite toasty out anyway.
I guess people have a bit of a inferiority complex and therefore feel like they need to say rude stuff to guys like that because they feel like they shouldn't or don't fit into the social status of removing the shirt...
I guess my pet peave is to see really overweight guys without their shirt or really really hairy ones... anybody else I don't even notice!

Guys go shirtless because they are probablly if there playing sports they'lll take there shirt off when they get hot, and If there going swimming they'll go shirt-less, or like all the other geeks on here what they say They only do it to show off. but thats not true.

To show off what they sometimes don't have and to get attention, most of them but not all.some of them don't have enough clothes and some habit.
