Just wondering. They seem like good company, and if the conspiracy theorists are right, joining them would mean being right in the powerhouse - should be interesting?
Any opinions?

Freemasonry requires that its members have a belief in God and can stand the test of moral fortitude. It is essentially an educational fraternity in which the members learn how to be better members of society. There are no conspiracies. Neither of the President's Bush are members and nor is Al Gore. Bob Dole is a mason and so am I.

Aren't the freemasons some sort of group that began many centuries ago and the members are powerbrokers and fairly control the worlds economy. something to that effect. I am not sure. Isn't Bush and a good percentage of political members have clandestine involvment with the freemasons. Wasn't Divinche a freemason. Didn't a conspirist believe the reason John Kennedy was assinated was because he was not a freemason and the reason Clinton had so many problems during his administration was because he was not a freemason. Why is it Bush gets everything he asks for. Wasn't Gore a freemason. That is a creepy group of people and they may not be as honorable as being in some sort of religious group. I think maybe these folks on this web site are a little to young to understand what being in those type of groups really means. I personally think Castro had something to do with JFK, but I understand that Bushs' great grandfather was a freemason and was promised the state of Florida (JEB) and that all this hazy stuff regarding that family was the reason JFK was assasinated. Okay I had my say and I am going to leave it alone. I don't want people hanging out in front of my house.

May I list some reasons for NOT becoming a Freemason?

1. You do not believe in a Supreme Being.
2. You wish to join for merely mercenary reasons - to get rich.
3. You feel like your religion is the only way to truth and that other people are damned to hell if they do not convert.
4. You wish to use Freemasonry as a means to "get out of jail free"
5. You take illegal drugs or are out of control in your drinking
6. You have moral problems - and you do know what I mean by that.
7. You think that your race should not mix with others.

Once you get through those questions, the next are a bit more of a sorting process.

If you be in Lodge with women as well as men, if you wish for a tad more esoteric approach to Lodge working, you might try Co-Masonry. I belong to American Co-Masonry, Freemasonry for women and men. We hold charter originally from La Grande Loge Symbolique in France since the 1800s. We have been in America since the early 1900s.

If you think that you should be only with men in the pursuit of moral lessons, traditional masculine rite (men only) Freemasonry is available, of course. They are a fine group of guys and do good works, too. I especially admire the work the Shriners (a group only Freemasons may join) do.

Be warned, though, Should you think that the conspiracy theorists are right and that is your reason for joining, I think you will be disappointed. Fair enough? There is magick there, there is alchemy, but it is not what you expect.

If I can be of any service, feel free to write to me or click on the link below.

That is a silly answer to state one needs to belong to ag roup. That is like saying one is weak that needs a family.

Anyway look at the people who have been attracted to Freemasonry. You can get an idea of what is has to offer by seeing the true adepts and lovers of the craft.

As far as a powerhouse, one must show power to be with power. An ant doesn't roam with lions.

Yes. One answer is that because they are a secret society, they've turned their back on a little thing called 'honesty'. Not sure the English lodges are much of a powerhouse: seems more like an old boys club. The Catenians are a Catholic equivalent, who've removed any of the rituals and secrecy from their organisation (something the Masons never did). Essentially, if you like leather aprons, stories about murdered master-masons and getting drunk with bank managers, the Masons might just be for you.

What is the reason for people joining religious groups and mistic
societies?
They need to belong. Because they don`t feel whole on their own, which is because they are not trully individuals.
So, was that an answer?

And the question you should ask yourself is
"What am I looking for?"

Then again, don`t you find it in yourSelf?
