i have two coins in my hand.their value is = to 55¢ and one of them is not a nickle. what are the two coins. explain

one is a nickle and one is a 50cent piece
you said that ONE is not a nickle, not both.
thats the only combo that there could be...

The 1 that isn't a nickle is a 50 cent piece. The other coin is a nickle.
