Who the heck started this trend? I wear white whenever I feel like it, even in December, and do not understand what the big deal is. I guaranteed you in Hawaii and similar locales nobody cares. So is this just for the temperate zone, or just the U.S.????

I live in California where sometimes it can stay warm thru November and sometimes even be 80 degrees in January, so the cold weather rules do not apply. I understand the "hoity-toity" society rules but do not think they apply to the rest of the world - just to the East Coast mainly.

Wearing white after labor day is a Faux pau (or however you spell that). Its not true you can wear white when ever you wish. Usually they say not to wear white after labor day because it starts getting cold and white isn't a good insulator and it will show the dirt and mud from the ground, since there is more in the fall and winter months.

I recently moved down south from the frigid north. Bright white clothes are generally lightweight and more of a summer thing. It looks rather silly to be in white cotton pants when the leaves are turning and there's a nip in the air.
However, down south here where it stays warm until Thanksgiving, people wear white as long as the weather is in the 80's or better.
One thing for sure, the white dress shoes & sandals should get tucked away after Labor Day.

It's not wrong, it's just a myth. It's perfectly fine to wear white any time of the year.

Honeslty, i don't care approximately regardless of every person has to declare approximately me donning white after hard artwork day. in case you wanna placed on white, and the oufit fits and seems stable, decide for it. maximum human beings placed on white (esp. white skinnies) each and every of the time. Like I mentioned, decide for IT!
