iStat Pro widget shows the temp on my PB G4. You can download at the Apple Widget website.

I own an iMac G5 and mine got louder over time. However, if you feel that it's too loud or getting too hot, I would suggest taking to an Apple Store near you to have it checked out. You could have dust build up around the vents. Make a reservation at the Genius Bar and take it in to have them look at it. You can find an Apple Store near you on Apple's website. Hope this helped, and good luck!

that truly relies upon on your software determination. very last decrease is in elementary words accessible on Mac, while greatest and Avid are available on both. If that's a computer in elementary words meant to very last about a twelve months, i'd bypass with the perfect computer you could purchase. Apple has a tendency to be very expensive, yet worth it in case you in simple terms like the OS and software (a lot less crashes in the approach rendering and so on). I do a similar challenge, and that i'm procuring twin quad middle Xeon processor laptop for type of $4.5K that would want to have value me round $8K with apple. Oh, it also helps that i'm progression it myself.

You really need to bring it in for the free maintenance, if it is still in warranty. Even if it is NOT in warranty, there might be some expensive repairs it needs, due to some problems I am not at liberty to divulge here, and the problem might just be repaired at little or no cost to you...

But, it IS probably a hardware problem, that I see often enough, in my Macintosh Certified repair center.

HTH.
