If you have been friends for awhile then this should be pretty easy for you. Relax and remember, just because your out with this girl doesn't make her a different person. She is STILL your friend. Go with the idea that your just going out with a friend, and treat it that way. It will be a romantic setting. If anything is going to happen, it will happen naturally. Don't force it. Go and have fun. As for her not wanting to go...well, she accepted your offer to take her. If you treat her like she's still your friend, she will be more comfortable with the situation, have more fun, and be much more likely to see you as someone she wants to go out with again.

Its first very important that u tell her she looks nice. U can ask her if u could get her anything, punch, food etc? That will get the conversation rolling and plus its being a gentleman. Ask her to dance and while that is going on if its a slow song then u can manage some chit chat with her such as how is her night going, ask her if she likes the song playing and tell her she dances good. u know give her a few compliments *always makes a girl feel good*. Since u have known her a while bring up some things that u know she likes to talk about. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

Man... I know you want answer from girls! But let me tell you this: Girls are not much different to guys. At the end we all want the same thing, so honesty is a good thing to start with. Dont be rude but not start beating around the bush..that ruins the situation. Dude! I once had two chicks in one room and we all thought the same damn thing. We were playing spin-the-bottle and everybody was kissing anybody, I kept on playing cause I just didnt get it, then they fell a sleep...because I just didnt react! Get it?

If you've been friends for a while, just act the same way. She likes you as a friend so act like her friend or it will be arkward. The only diff now is that she's your date and you guys will be dressed up. Make it fun! Also acting like a friend will make her interested in a romance too. It's called reverse physcollogy and trust me it works!

Just ask her to dance, ask if she wants anything to eat or drink or anything like that. Keep her smiling and you'll know she's having a good time and you'll have a good time too. If you want to start a conversation ask her about what she's wearing and tell her she looks really pretty.

Talk about something that your interested in, sports, a certain football team, something that happened at school that was really interesting, A weirder person at school, a teacher you both dislike, anything, and dont be shy. Good Luck : )

Tell her that she looks nice nice. Nice dress, her hair is nice, makeup etc. Just be yourself the way you are normally with her, don't be afraid to talk because you are at a dance. Get her a really pretty corsage, ask what color her dress is and get something that will match it.

Ask LOTS of questions about things you believe interest her. People like to talk about themselves. You can ask about her childhood, parents, siblings, favorite foods, favorite school subject, is she planning to go to college, does she like sports, is she in any clubs. Hopefully these conversation starters will lead to actual conversation and then it will just flow. Best of luck.
