Yes, I think this could be relative to the 'graven images' we were so clearly warned about.

If you look at the false prophets we are following today and observe their ability to justify murder in the name of a judeao/christian government, you'll see just how distorted America has taken the original word of God. This is one of the main reasons that over sixty countries refuse to stand in unity with us these days.

What we done to the word of God will surely be our undoing.

Actually I think it's a breach of the principle, enshrined in the First Amendment of the US Constitution, that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion'. There should be no mention of God on any document issued by the US Federal government.

If anything, mentioning God on the dollar bill takes the state's name in vain.

It's not taking God's name in vain as it's affirming a belief in God. Taking God's name in vain would be for using it in a trivial way, such as saying: "God, I'm late again for that Beelzebub convention".

It may not be a misuse of God's name but it is certainly a misrepresentation of the authentic state of affairs in the USA.

I think so. America, on the whole, worships money over everything else and is just trying to cover it's (obese) a*se by putting that there so when judgement comes they can whine "But God we wrote it on our dollar bills...!". England is largely the same in worshipping £ (and America!) but doesn't write it on it's money!

You can't serve two masters. You can't worship God and money!

I think the whole In God We Trust saying is silly personaly.
Why not put, In Santa Clause We Trust ?
They are both imaginary in my mind. ( My opinion )
not all of us believe in a GOD so why would they even put that on something everyone must deal with on an everyday basis like money.

Some of us still do trust in God. Putting the statement on our money is a good reminder.

properly, using actuality that i think of the IN GOD WE have faith is relating the god of money, no...i don't think of it is taking the god of money's call in ineffective. i don't think of this replaced into the unique purpose for the IN GOD WE have faith it particularly is considered revealed on money, however. in case you're relating the genuine God, of who ever's understand-how, the better potential God, how i might answer your question is this: i don't think of this is taking God's call in ineffective, in case you particularly recommend and experience the genuine purpose of the IN GOD WE have faith. of course you recognize something of this asserting....IN GOD WE have faith, all others ought to pay money!
