The story of Noah and the Ark has much older roots in the story of Gilgamesh. According to that story modern searchers may be looking in the wrong place:

On Mt. Nimush the boat lodged firm,
Mt. Nimush held the boat, allowing no sway.
One day and a second Mt. Nimush held the boat, allowing
no sway.
A third day, a fourth, Mt. Nimush held the boat, allowing
no sway.
A fifth day, a sixth, Mt. Nimush held the boat, allowing
no sway.
When a seventh day arrived
I sent forth a dove and released it.

If it is, it hasn't been found yet.

Some years ago, a boat shaped feature was spotted from the air on a remote Turkish mountain.

Pictures of it appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout the world with captions like 'Is this really Noah's Ark?'

Scientists discovered it was just a natural rock feature, however.

Of course it isn't. A wooden structure couldn't last for 5000 years...and btw, there is no geological evidence that a world wide flood ever occurred, yeah that's right, such a huge event would leave obvious evidence....hmmm, could Noah's ark be a myth? After all, what about llamas? There were no llamas in the middle east, but lo, when the Spanish explorers come, there are llamas? How can that be? Well, if Noah's ark is true, then there can be no llamas or turkeys, pandas, kangaroos, Candian Geese, get the picture?

It's a Bible STORY, and in any case, if there was an ark and if it really did land somewhere, that was THOUSANDS of years ago. Why would a boat made of wood it still be there???
