Are you in the UK?
If so, try
http://www.multimap.com
It has better satellite imagery than Google Earth if you live outside of the high resolution areas in Google Earth or Google Maps.

Try Google Earth. It's on the Google homepage. Sign up for it - takes a few minutes - then type youe post code into the search box. Once it settles overhead, you can zoom in. Some villages and countryside areas don't have great coverage but towns are pretty well covered.

Not a website but, if you are lucky, Google Earth will show your house. There is a free version and a paid version. I am not sure if the paid version gives you better resolution, though.
I can see my house and can just make out the 18" x 12" stepping stones in the lawn.

Try Google Earth! You can even put your location on the satellite picture if you want to.

Google Earth
If you can't download it for whatever reason you can still take advantage by clicking this link:
http://maps.google.com/
Search for your postcode.
When the map changes click 'satellite' on the map view and then zoom in
