I just turned 25 a few weeks ago but I feel so old and out of touch with popular culture. Why do I feel over the hill already? What's the deal??

a lot of people feel this way at mid-points in their life (mid-20s,30s,40s,50s). you need to realize that you are no longer a boy, but a man, who has his whole life ahead of him. if you are no longer in touch with teen culture, this is a good thing. it means you have matured and are progressing mentally past the superficial things that are important to the very young. focus on the things that seem to carry more meaning to you now, and you will realize that these feelings you have are transitory. the same thing happened to me when i turned 25 and again when i turned 35. soon you will realize that age is just a number. make sure you exercise and stay physically fit. this way you will look and feel your best, at any age.

p.s.: many men get better looking as they age, so you may be in luck!

25 -- the best years of your life await! You are living them right now.

Your insurance is going to go down this year.

I wish I was 25 again.

And its normal to be letting go of the popular culture at your age. You don't know the songs on the radio and all that.

You are just growing up.

You aren't wearing flip flops around town are you like all the kids?

I think its so silly seeing older but still young people trying to imitate teenagers.

You may still have a teenage view of yourself.
To 30somethings, you're not old.
To teenagers, you are.

Nothing exists except when compared with something else, or to its absence.

There is really no such thing as old without a context for it.
All qualities are like this.

Good lord no! I am sure you are feeling that way because you are half way through your 20's and probably have more responsibilities now. You are far from being old.

Now you're a grown up. You're supposed to be out of touch with kids. Didn't you know that?
