And not only do the backstabbers do that, they have to twist that damn blade too?
I'm sorry, but I am practically blowing steam out of my ears I'm so p*issed. My so-called friends decided to make up a very elaborate story involving me and a married man that is not even one quarter true! And now, I'm going to have to go home and explain to my wonderful boyfriend why in the world people we called friends could say something so untrue. Oh, I could seriously hurt them!
These people are in their 30's!!!!!! I thought sh*t like that stopped after high school!
Any thoughts to help me out?

Some people don't know when to grow up and I'm sorry they felt it necessary to start vicious rumors about you. It doesn't stop at high school, it's like the energizer bunny, it just keeps on going.
Your boyfriend should understand that these 'friends' are just jerks and not get mad at you for anything so silly, but look out for it.
At first he'll get angry and yell and shout, then he'll cool off and you can talk about it calmly. Unless he's one of the rare ones and already knows about these people and doesn't even bat an eye at the rumor.
End the friendships and move on. One day they'll get theirs and you can only hope you're there to laugh when they do.

Yes the blade hurts when it goes in. That's why I'd use an icepick. If your so called friends are still at the stage in their life's where they need to do something that hurtful to you it's probably time for new friends. If you still want to be friends with these children explain to them what they did to you really hurt you. Give them time to think that over.

I thought it did, too. Some people are childish and immature, and they stay that way. You just gotta let them be and let them make a fool out of themselves. They just look dumb when you are being nice.

Good luck with you and your boyfriend. If he really loves and trusts you he will believe you. If he doesn't it is his loss. Be as honest as you can, that is all you can do. Best of luck.

I think for one, its time to find some new friends..........
And I think your boyfriend better believe what you have to say over your friends. I would hope he would have to add up the facts himself. What kind of friends would do such a thing..... sheesh! that really sucks.

Tell you boyfriend, the truth. Before he finds out for himself. It is better to acknowledge the fact, rather than try and defend it. Phone him if necessary. NOW.
