since males are so dominating and physically stronger at an early age, i've always wondered if females relying more on emotional intelligence and brain power to get what they want make the general population of females smarter than men over time?

It would seem that at times, they have been....But! on the whole womens brains are made quite different from a mans.
I would have to answer that NO women are not smarter, than men.
It would also seem....GOD being Male=men are first, in the line of things.

It may sound wrong?...but thats because 'women' let it....

The 'male' is the one who has just about made all we see, in the world.....so he has been given the brains to do so.If it were up to women...we all may still be living in tents.
AND NO! I am not anti-women!!!..lol thats just how we all can see, men have great ability..and they have used it.

But there are many things women CAN do...that are impossible, for men...and I am not talking about having babies....
Today women can come along side of men, and give them a huge run-for-their-money with some things...
But, the proof about men...is when we look at skyscrapers, etc.
No women could do that...Men are made as they are, for a reason...their brains work quite well...when men want them too.
If your talking self control..well thats another issue?.lol

I don't really think that women are smarter then men! However one thing about men really pisses me off- they create so many gadgets and so forth and make it so simple that it is actually hard for a woman! At least it is for me. Different women use different tactics to get what they want. Just like different men do. The point that you brought up could actually be true! Though as a woman I hate to think this way! Some women just finally just give up and say to heck with it -on this man and woman issue. People are people!

If they were smarter, would they need laws that force employers to hire a certain % of them? Where I work, they have some really stupid women in some really high positions and it's not about anything more than looking good on paper. Yeah we have x % female, y % latino, z % black. There are too many laws that force employers to put people that aren't ready into high positions.

there are so many levels and types of intelligence, that
it would take someone a lot smarter than me to add them
all up balance them out and come up with a definitive
answer. then the answer would probably be it depends
on the individuals and the subject involved. one thing
almost everyone would agree is that women think
differently than men. that is not to say better or worse;
just differently.

It depends completely on the woman and man in question. There some smart ones in both genders, and many, many dumb ones. Sorry, facts is facts.

There are some things women seem to excel in. Sense of smell in women seems to be better, and color perception. Men can hear better, and seem to have better depth perception. But not always.

I'm female, but I've met a lot of gals who weren't all that bright. LOL! (Men, too)

yes. haven't you ever heard the brain transplant joke? This person needs a brain transplants. They have a choice between and man and female brain. the male brain is really really expensive, and the female's isn't when asked about why there is such an extremem price difference, the doctor replies, "because the woman's brain is used."

Those are just stereotypes. Not all men are physically strong, and not women are intellectualy strong. The only difference between men and women is how we communicate; women tend communicate with words, and so we seem more intellectual, while men communicate physically, making them seem less intellectual but they're not. So basically women are more auditory while men are more kinesthetic.

Yes. Albert Einstein was actually a woman, was born Alberta. And Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato were also women. Stephen Hawking was born with female genitalia. Too many females to name.

I'm a man, and smarter in a way than most women are: I avoid relationships.

There certainly are differences in the ways of thinking, but I would rather say the thinking of women is different from the thinking of men. In my interpretation it means that neither of them are more valuable, but we adapt to our environment in different ways. This is why we see the world differently, this is why our preferences are not the same and this is why ... we need each other.
