When 2 people fart at the same time, the world will explode.
I heard this around 4th grade, and I just remembered it.
Anyways, is it true?

Considering every person farts between 9 and 21 times a day (and some up to 141 times), and that there are something like 6 billion people in the world, I think it means that a lot more than 2 people are farting at a time and we haven't exploded yet (but what is it doing to the ozone layer?!).

Interesting question- did you hear this nugget of information before or after they served beans in the cafeteria? Think it through -how many people there are in the world then think about how many people have problems with gas and bloating. Remember there are LOTS of commercials for remedies to gas-
I'm sure you've seen them, Beano, etc. Now, with as many people as there are on this planet there is bound to be more than one person expelling gas at the same time. If it WERE the case, the Earth would have been blown up long ago. Surprisingly, the windbag politicians with all their hot air haven't managed to cause the world to explode yet.

This is true, when 2 people fart at the same time and it is broadcast on Comedy Central or Nickelodeon, the whole world will explode with laughter. Even funnier is when it smells so bad, the dog gets up and leaves the room. You are enjoying all this nonsense aren't ya?

no its not true, there are a trillion people in the world, they dont all fart seperately. However if you fart and light a match it makes a bigger flame from the gas.

its not true. it normal for people to fart because without farting, you will get sick. the same thing goes for burping. when 2 people burp the world does not explode. but whomever u heard this from, tell them that this statement is not true.

just don't do it near an open flame.
farts are methane gas, produced by digestion of plant materials (that's why cabbage makes you so gassy)
eating yoghurt once a week or mor will help balance the bacteria in your gut, and help reduce these fire hazards.
