Misery. Although the film was really good it's not a patch on the book. It was far more gruesome and kept me awake all night reading, I had to find out what happened next !
On the flip side, Insomnia is the worst book he's ever written. It's the only book I've ever not finished reading. It's the best cure for insomnia !

Black House. I loved the characters, and the story was thought provoking. I like 95% of Stephan King books though.

Great question tough to answer...My fav book by Steve King would have to be,Needful Things..the idea one of Satan`s demons setting up a shop that sells what you think is an item you have always wanted and will do ANYTHING to get it is brilliant especially when you find out that your item is just a piece of crap..Read it it`s so good.Like all his books much better than the films..His best book yet.

Desperation. It gave me the creeps from the beginning to the end. It's a great book that I've read several times. I tried to watch the movie version but couldn't get interested. Something lost in the translation I suppose. If you haven't read it, do!

i purchase them, so i love all of them. i might want to now no longer get into " It ", I incredibly have an mission with Spiders, and Clowns. I wrote to Mr. King some years contained in the previous. He despatched back a signed card. i imagine of he's basically too busy to attempt this now. Do you get the recommendations Letter about his television appearances, and new books? that's outstanding. i have were given considered It In print that Mr. King says Clive Barker Is the " draw close of Horror ". he's not, King Is, and that i imagine of King knew his followers might want to protest hostile to It. even as requested who the " draw close of Horror " Is? I say, Stephen King.

It is actually one he co-wrote with Peter Straub - "Black House."
I like the character Jack. He seems so lonely even though he has so much power. He continues on his life's journey even when he doesn't want to. I am curious if the 2 authors will continue with Jack's character in another novel. This reader is intrigued with the possible future(s) these 2 authors can dream up for Jack.

Not a Steven King fan, I find him too waffly and descriptive. The guy can spend four pages describing a chair!!! Give me James Herbert any day of the week (apart from Once which was a bit crap)

Desparation. It's the only book that has actually given me the spooks, and it just keeps getting creepier. it has a stronger story line and better ending than a lot of his other books
