I have followed the directions in my options and they are set Up right-- I believe it has somthing to do with the main control panel settings for color changing--but dont know for sure what the settings should be

In the compose window, below the "Attach Files" button and above the space to type the message there is a toolbar. Click on "Text Colour" button (the button with the T symbol above a colour palette, its located at the 7th position from left), a pop-up with colours will appear and you can choose the desired colour. Hope it helps. :)

I had do download a Yahoo recognized browser and everything is fine now. I downloaded the free Firefox.
