best friend and boy trouble.?

last year my best friends brother had his friend over for the first time. me and my best friend hung around them and yeah, this kid was cute. my best friend said he was "ok". i liked him but he had a girlfriend so i regarded him as "off limits" because he had a girlfriend and everything, you know? over time my friends brother told me this kid liked me.i was like thats crazy;he has a girlfriend. time went on.my best friend started to like this kid too.ive always had a little crush on him but never really told.so lately my friend has liked this boy but he doesnt like her..i was told hewas going to break up with his girlfriend to ask me out. and my best friend found out about this and isnt very happy. i tell her i dont talk to him much alot but truth is.. i talk to him ALOT. he wants to hang out with me and i want to hang out with him too. i just dont know what will happen if my friend finds out about it cause she has major jelousy problems. what can i do to benefit both me AND my friend?

Stop the lies to your friend...and go out with the boy if he asks you. There is no need for you to sacrafice what you want, so that your friend can have a shot at someone who don't like her. Be smart about this, and stand up for yourself.

You should tell your friend that you have liked him for a really long time and you are sorry that you never told her. Tell her that you have liked him pretty much since you meet him (cause that what the situation sounds like). Then you should tell her that you also lied about you don't talk to him much. If you tell her the truth you will feel so much better. If she doesn't believe you or she gets mad at you then you should tell her that she isn't being fair and tell her that she has jealousy problems.
