http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Carter
No mention here of Ralph being openly gay and living in Brooklyn. Recall that he is an intensely private person and that intense privacy tends to result in people assuming that he is gay. Yet, he appeared in June for a reunion skit of Good Times with his costars.
3 months ago, someone had a question asking if Ralph Carter died of AIDS - which turned out to be false.
Perhaps the asker was mistaken by a Rev. Ralph Carter who is an openly gay WHITE preacher who served in Rochester, NY.

I don't know if he's living in Brooklyn. I did hear that he is openly gay. I know he was living in Africa for a period of time. He went to university and graduated. He is very well educated. That's all I remember.

If you know his real name you can search for it on Wikipedia. They would probably have an article about him. They have one about almost everyone. Or you could look up Good Times on Wikipedia and it would probably tell you his name. And than search from there.
